VERIFIED CREDENTIALS

Credentials with a real issuer behind them.

Institutions issue directly, which builds a trust graph anyone can check. That same graph is what makes verification cheap and recovery possible.

Verified credentials form a trust graph Three institutions, a University, an Employer and a Clinic, issue credentials directly to five people. Each link is a verified credential; some people hold credentials from two issuers, so together the links form a trust graph that anyone can check. THE TRUST GRAPH

Every credential is also a relationship.

When an institution issues a credential to a person, it creates a verifiable link between them. Accumulate enough of those links and you have a graph that can answer two hard questions at once: is this record genuine, and is this person who they say they are.

The second answer is what makes key recovery work. The institutions that already verified you're the ones who can restore you.

PER FIELD PRIVACY

Prove one thing without showing everything.

A credential marks each field as public, shareable with named parties, or private. Private fields are never transmitted. What reaches the network is a thirty two byte fingerprint proving the field existed, with no way to read it.

An employer can confirm a degree was awarded without receiving a date of birth, a student number or anything else that was never their business.

WHAT EACH SIDE GETS

Institutions Issue once, verified forever, no support burden.
People The record belongs to you, not to a vendor contract.
Verifiers A lookup instead of an email and a three week wait.
